How to Download an Adobe DRM title to your PC or Mac
There are several Mac & PC programs that support Adobe's ACS DRM technology and you are welcome to use those. We use and recommend Adobe Digital Editions, which can be downloaded for free.

After downloading and installing Digital Editions from Adobe's website, you will be prompted to authorize the program with your Adobe ID and Password. If you don't yet have an account with Adobe, you will be prompted to open one.

Once you have completed the installation of Adobe's Digital Editions, you can now download your eBook from our site to your Mac or PC:
1. Login to the My Account section of our site: http://healingtouchbookbible.swn7.com/customer/account/
2. In the My Account section, click on the yellow My Library tab on the left
3. Click the title in the list that you want to download
4. Click the download link that appears and ensure it is downloaded to a location you can browse to on your computer
5. Once the "URLLink" file downloads, simply browse to its location on your computer and double-click on it

When you double-click on the "URLLink" file, it will authorize your Digital Editions to download the EPUB from our servers, directly into the Digital Editions program.

eBook files are stored on your computer, usually in Documents, in a folder called "Digital Editions". You can then transfer these EPUB files to any other device or software program that is authorized with your Adobe ID. Your eBooks are not "locked" to your computer, but are rather assigned to you through your Adobe ID. This means that you can transfer library items to up to six computers and six supported mobile devices that are authorized with the same Adobe ID.

Before you can transfer items between devices, you must authorize both devices with your Adobe ID. Note that bookmarks and your progress in the book are not copied when items are transferred to another computer.

If you ever receive an error message, it’s always best to wait a few seconds and try again as there is sometimes a slight delay in the authorization of your eBook and the system allowing you to download the file.

Visit the Adobe Help Center for more help or if you experience problems with Digital Editions.

How to sync a MOBI or PRC file to your Kindle Fire
The Kindle Fire is running a version of the Android operating system (same as Android cell phones and tablets) and this means you can actually read ANY eBook we sell directly on your Kindle Fire! Please see our other Kindle instructions if you are not using the Fire.

All of our file formats are compatible* with the Kindle Fire, including DRM free EPUB (.epub), DRM free MOBI (.mobi or .prc), DRM Lite EPUB (.epub), and Adobe DRM EPUB (.epub)

There are several ways to sync files to your Kindle Fire and the most popular of which is very similar to other Kindle devices:
1. Connect the Fire to your computer with a mico USB cable. KINDLE will then show where hard drives and other USB drives show (under My Computer on Windows or in 'mounted drives' on Mac). Double-click on the Kindle drive to open it.
2. In another window, open the folder where you stored the eBook files on your computer (we recommend downloading and storing them on the desktop or in My Documents in a folder called 'eBooks'). You can then drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste the eBook file(s) from your computer to the "Books" folder on the Fire.
3. After the files are finished transferring to the Kindle and BEFORE unplugging the USB cable, you must eject the Kindle from the computer. Removing the USB cable before doing this can cause harm to your eBooks and/or the Kindle. Simply right-click on the Kindle drive and select the undock, eject, or unmount option on your computer. If the screen on your Fire still says it is connected via USB, just tap on the 'Disconnect' button at the bottom-center of the Fire's screen.

You can also email files to yourself or use a file syncing service, like Evernote.

How to sync an EPUB file to your Kindle Fire
The Kindle Fire is running a version of the Android operating system (same as Android cell phones and tablets) and this means you can actually read ANY eBook we sell directly on your Kindle Fire! Please see our other Kindle instructions if you are not using the Fire.

All of our file formats are compatible* with the Kindle Fire, including DRM free EPUB (.epub), DRM free MOBI (.mobi or .prc), DRM Lite EPUB (.epub), and Adobe DRM EPUB (.epub).

There are several ways to sync EPUBs to your Kindle Fire, the most popular is very similar to syncing other types of files.

However, you firstly need to change a few settings on the Fire that will allow you to read EPUBs (which are not natively supported by Kindle).
1. Tap the battery icon at the top-right of the Fire, tap the More option, then scroll to and tap Device.
kindle_fire_battery_settings.png
2. Tap On under the Allow Installation of Applications from Unknown Sources option.
kindle_fire_allow_installation.jpg
3. Next, you'll need to download the APK (Android application file) for an EPUB app. We recommend the Aldiko Reader as it supports DRM Free, DRM Lite, and Adobe DRM EPUBs. Visit this link on your Kindle Fire to download the Aldiko APK: http://slideme.org/application/aldiko
4. Once the APK file has downloaded, tap the Kindle Fire logo at the top-left of the Fire's screen. There you'll see a notification that the APK has downloaded and you simply need to tap on the notification and the Fire will download the Aldiko Reader app.
5. Once the Aldiko Reader app has installed, launch & authorize the app to access your Adobe ACS account (instructions here).
6. Add the EPUB files to your Kindle! This can be done in several ways:
- Instructions to download our files directly into the Aldiko app on your Fire
- Download EPUBs to your computer and sync to the Fire (or copy files from the Digital Editions app on your computer):
a) Connect the Fire to your computer with a mico USB cable. KINDLE will then show where hard drives and other USB drives show (under My Computer on Windows or in 'mounted drives' on Mac). Double-click on the Kindle drive to open it.
b) In another window, open the folder where you stored the eBook files on your computer (we recommend downloading and storing them on the desktop or in My Documents in a folder called 'eBooks'). You can then drag- and-drop or copy-and-paste the eBook file(s) from your computer to the "eBooks" folder on the Fire.
c) After the files are finished transferring to the Kindle and BEFORE unplugging the USB cable, you must eject the Kindle from the computer. Removing the USB cable before doing this can cause harm to your eBooks and/or the Kindle. Simply tap on the 'Disconnect' button at the bottom-center of the Fire's screen or right-click on the Kindle drive and select the undock, eject, or unmount option on your computer.
Remember that EPUB files are not natively supported by the Kindle, so these files will not show in the Books section of the Fire. Instead: launch the Aldiko app on your Fire, tap the small home icon at the top-left, tap SD card, tap the check mark on the eBooks folder, then tap the Import to Aldiko button at the bottom-left of the screen. This will import ALL EPUB files into the Aldiko app for reading.

You can also email files to yourself or use a file syncing service, like Evernote.

Also, note that your Adobe DRM EPUB files are not "locked" to your computer or device, but are rather assigned to you through your Adobe ID. This means that you can transfer library items to up to six computers and supported mobile devices that are authorized with the same Adobe ID. We thus recommend that you keep a backup copy of ALL eBooks files you download from our website.

Before you can transfer items between devices, you must authorize both devices with your Adobe ID. Note that bookmarks and your progress in the book are not copied when items are transferred to another device.

*Using Kindle's Personal Document Service, you can email Amazon the following formats and they will convert them and Whispersync them to your device: MOBI, HTML, DOC, JPEG, GIF, PNG, & BMP (click here for more information on Kindle's supported formats or click here for information on Kindle document conversion).

How to Clear Your Cache
Each time you access anything on your web browser, the system caches the information (pronounced cash), or stores a temporary copy to your computer. This helps you browse the same pages and files (including any images on the page) quicker over time as they don't have to be newly retrieved from the web server each time you click the Back or Forward buttons. You should periodically clear your cache to allow your browser to function more efficiently and sometimes a browser can get confused with downloads or browsing a site if the cache hasn't been cleared for a while.

If you're unsure what browser version you're using or you do not see instructions for your specific browser, search your browser's Help menu for "clear cache".
